Manufacturing
is carried out in our workshop, or in co-operation with a manufacturing partner.
Specialists are used in the case of work falling
outside our normal workshop activities, for example for heavy
engineering, injection/rotational molded plastics, foundry, etc. Email, skype and the internet make it realistic
and not difficult to manufacture in low-cost countries like China,
providing that due diligence is undertaken, proper business
practice is followed regarding supply contracts, and international
payment safety mechanisms are employed. SOLPONT has experience manufacturing both
locally and internationally (China). For
us, the crux of smooth manufacturing is in the preparation. This
means preparing accurate drawings, manufacturing specifications
and quality systems, and then putting in place good manufacturing
contracts. If the preparation is in place then the outcomes will
be achieved, with low risk, and with good protection. |
